Hey folks. I have something rather unfortunate to talk about today. Last year for Halloween I posted a pair of warlock patrons, one of which was of a certain Native spirit that starts with a W.
It has come to my attention that people from the culture the creature in question is from do not say it’s name, as saying its name will summon it. I would like to apologize to any viewers I may have offended and out of respect for them, I have removed my homebrew that depicts it from that original post, as well as any mention of in said post. In the future, I will try to be more careful when creating works based on real world folklore.
However, while unfortunate in it’s theming, the brew itself was mechanically sound and I would hate to be rid of it forever. So, I will be looking at the brew in question at some point and reworking it to be more culturally sensitive and distanced from its original inspiration. This may not be for some time as I have a lot on my plate right now, but I would like to try again. Again, I am sorry, and don’t forget to love each other.
