The Foundry

I’m not really sure where to start with this one. After many long months (more that it should have been but no matter) probably one of my favorite recent projects is finally done. A commission for one of my lovely patrons, I’ve had a blast working it. I’ve wanted to do something like this for a long time, and even took a stab at it long before I started the foundry, so needless to say I was well invested in the idea.

What proved to be an invaluable resource in this project was the official Alien RPG by Free League Publishing, which is an absolutely phenomenal RPG in its own right. It nails the aesthetic and tone of the series and does an amazing job of covering the lore, as well as loads of other aspects that are key to that sort of game. If you love the Alien series I HIGHLY recommend getting a copy.

This was also a great place to learn some new things and use what I learned from Flesh & Bone to make it better. In a weird way this is sort of a test run for the eventual re-release of that abomination. That’s one of the things I love most about my work. Every project is a chance to learn something new and grow as a creator.

In general I had a lot of fun putting this one together. Really pleased with the style and while finding appropriate art was a real bugbear I think I did good with what I could find. Put my photoshop skills to the test, that’s for sure. Anyway, hope y’all have fun with it!
