Introducing my non-magical Medic class!
While working on a campaign I had a need for reworks of certain classes
for a non-magical setting. Not having much luck simply modifying the
cleric, I decided to make one myself from scratch using a combination of
the existing healing abilities in 5e and an emphasis keeping your party
alive rather than dealing damage.
Edit: After some playtesting some changes have been made:
- Changed the “Healer” ability to “Able Physician”. The original was just the Healer feat slapped in there and while it felt fine as a feat, it wasn’t much fun as a core class ability. It can now be used to your hearts content (as long as you have healer’s kits to spare) and the healing now scales as you level!
- Added Brink of Death. So something I totally forgot and no one mentioned before or after I had already posted it was the standard for a class to have a 20th level ability. My bad. So I added one and I think it’s pretty fitting for a non-magical healer meant for a non-magical setting.
- Other clean ups, wording fixes, and number tweaks.
